La Parguera

After an amazing morning in the rain forest, we headed to La Parguera, a fishing village.

We took a boat ride and Sr. Tito showed us some amazing animals. I wish I had more pictures to share, but I was in the water having too much fun to take photos. We saw (and held) hermit crabs, lion fish, conch, sea cucumbers, blow fish, and an octopus. Some how the octopus made it onto my shoulder...that didn't last long! The thrill seekers of the group had fun putting the octopus on their head!

We stayed on the water until it got dark because La Parguera is one of the only seven bioluminescent bays in the world. watching the water literally glow with dinoflagellates was incredible! I wish I could have captured this on camera.
