After we saw the petroglyphs, we stopped at a great bed and breakfast. It was really neat to see the inside of mud hut and have it be myriad bright colors. I can imagine walking into a rainbow would be much the same.
But my favorite part of the B&B is that you get to go on camel rides. We spent a bit of time making friends with some of them, and I think that I made a girlfriend. She made some kind of crazy noise after I gave her some hay.
Then we were off to a pool from the Byzantine period. It is as amazing as the petroglyphs in that it just sits there alone in the desert created and abandoned--which isn't exactly right because we went to see them. Okay, so perhaps they served a special purpose once, and they have been repurposed as attractions. The pool was huge; our house could have fit in it, and the bottom was filled with the debris that collected over the years. There were only a few stones that fell out of place, and the thing is pretty much intact. We were standing on the edge and realized that there was some crazy sound stuff going on. So we took turns going to the other side of the pool and whispering; the others could hear clearly what was being said.

I ended the night watching the sunset from Cafe Ezuz. Beautiful.
