El Yunque

Monday we took a nice long walk in El Yunque rain forest. The trail we followed was just about two miles, but it felt a lot longer with the steep inclines! I have some beautiful memories of this place from past trips and it was so nice to create new ones with my students.

Dio, our tour guide, pointed out wood snails and showed us how Tainos would use sap to light torches.

This is a picture of a snail (I cannot remember what kind) with no shell!

One of my favorite moments was seeing my dear friend, Anna, relaxing. She is always in the middle of helping someone at work, so I had to capture this!

See-we were all tired after the treck.
