Day 9: Me and the cat are the same colors!

Walking home after work.
The second half of yesterday was nice because we got to run the farm--or at least we were the humans on the farm because it actually kind of runs itself. So first we went down to the grove and did some more cleaning. It felt really nice to put some order to the garden area knowing that the Arzunis are so busy that they seldom have time to clean the place. For me work like this is much more rewarding then weeding or picking fruit because there is a tangible result.
Then Lorrett and Shelby helped me get started on the goats. They got the hay ready and watered them. Shelby had another encounter with the ram of the the pen, but she didn't seem quite so bothered by him this time. And Lorrett had the great idea of gleaning some of the peanuts out of the hay for snacks. Now we have peanuts!

So I had to feed Blues and then get the concentrated food together. As I was doing so one of the momma cats jumped up on the shelve for some food, so I thought. But she really just wanted some love. So I gave her plenty. I hope that André and Allowicious don't find out I'm loving up other cats!

The milking went pretty well. I know I didn't do completely the alpha goat, but she was so patient with me until she was not. All of the others were just fine. I got about a half of a pot of milk out of them, and two I'm pretty sure were milked dry. I didn't spill anything, and every goat ate and got milked. Success.

This morning we cut fruit.
