Day 3: Yeah, I'm a Superstar!

I slept in until 6:37! WooHoo, summertime sleep in!

6:45 -7 read emails and read the news.
7-9 watched "Jackie and Ryan," which is a movie about musicians writing and making good music.
9:34 wrote a song that grew out of a conversation about running in the Park.
11 published the song to on the line.
11:12 took a nap.

12:07 ate protein bar in preparation for going outside.
12:19 finished get well card for friend and saved to get printed--got it printed.
12:39 got a hair cut.
12:50 left to run errands and run.

Then--Did a bunch of stuff.

I finished another postcard. I mailed the first one to us to see if it worked, and there was no problem. It only cost $1.10 in postage. We're still not sure what to charge for them, but my little heart says $20. We'll get a bunch ready for our next show and see what happens.

Then I entered into a competition to have an article written about our dulcimers. I don't know if I'll get in because the competition is pretty competitive. Plus, I'm in the "Craft" section, which encompasses all of the, well, crafts made by those of us who live in the South.

I used these three images because they show off the beauty of what I do.

I had to talk about how I came to making instruments and other stuff about what I do and why.

All of my instruments to this point have been pretty, but I find these to be some of the prettiest!

I went for a run when I did my errands. It was hot and sunny!

After my run I went down to the little river to cool off. I'd never been to this part, so it was like my first day at school--except everyone was wet!

5:15 I took another nap--a two cat nap.

At some point one of my kids sent me a text. She was jumping the coop jump that my students made as part of their course. My little teacher heart was all a flutter when I saw the image, and I cannot overstate how proud of the girls I am. My job is great!
