When we were bachelors his favorite game was Swat the Wasp. I'd always catch them and put them outside, but sometimes he'd just want to handle (pawdle?) it himself. He LOVED to play, and if he ever got stung he never complained. He's just not a complainer.
I whine and complain.
Now his brother, he is a loud talker and constant complainer. I understand some of what he says, but not all of the time. André and I speak the same language. Wishy, he just doesn't speak meows I can understand, unless I do. He is so sweet, though. Dumb as a box of rocks, but sweet as taffy!
I started the day with some plumbing. Yeah, I'm a crack at fixing a sink. Not really. But I wanted to use crack. Val's drain was clogged so I just took as much apart as I could and cleaned out the hair and stuff. Crisis averted!
Then I worked on a super secret thing with a someone. It is really rough, so don't judge too harshly--but certainly be critical!
Our students must be able to meaningfully reshape their world through public performance and display. To do so it is vital that they take easy-to-obtain, everyday information and apply it at a higher level. This way they can foster positive change within their constantly shifting social structures. Educators must be able to compassionately guide students to solve real-world problems and allow students to take leaps of imagination to spark their creativity and sate their curiosity through success and failure, as well as to disseminate the results of the children’s explorations and discoveries.
To this end, we seek to gather a group of dynamic, differing ideas and presentations into one place to learn how to think creatively or bring creative thinking into the classroom and cultivating creative talents across the curriculum drawing on the knowledge and expertise of a disparate group of presenters.
Then I ran pretty fast. It was mid 80s and really, really wet. So I stayed cool the whole way. The sun shone down for maybe one mile of the four. It felt so good!
Then we had a great dinner and played music. It was so much fun to watch these two play because they are just good together. Val picked up the dulcimer and just plucked out a tune. It was surprising and amazing. She makes me want to learn to play more.
And this is Biscuit. He is a great player. And he loves to play with others and he'll play to the slowest player--that'd be me.
I'm excited for my workshop tomorrow. This is the beginning of the learning part of my summer. I'm so ready!
